Placer River Bridge Inspection
In partnership with the US Forest Service and the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, the LRG team has been fortunate enough to work on inspecting the beautiful Placer River Trail Bridge using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The first set of flights took place in June 2015, with U. Alaska providing the UAV pilots and engineers. The LRG team is dedicated to processing and studying the resulting information. In particular, we are investigating how to create high resolution 3D models of the bridge from the captured images.
